You want to read more? Read it below The title of my piece is called, “The Others: Culture Clash”. I made it in the form of a personal diary with my picture and the title on the front. I made it small and humbly put together physically just to make it look like my real diary. When you look at it there is just a picture of me smiling on the cover, but when you open it, there are many bold images and documents that display mistreatments of different cultures that I identify with. Around the pictures I write two poetry slams that I have performed with Issues Troop around the images to drive home the idea and connect the pictures to portray the theme of being
I believe language is the gateway to our identities, and that it is a huge way to display how you want to identify.multiracial, multilingual, and multicultural. Within the diary I include four dialogues. Each dialogue is centered around this theme . I created these dialogues to show the types of situations that I have experienced. The goal is to show how language, in my case, has helped me prove parts of my identity and how the way I speak has also alienated me.

We analyze how language and social concepts influence attitudes of dialects across the oceans in countries such as: Japan, China, & the United States.
